Wildlife Experience FAQs
|Whats happening with experiences in 2021?||Due to Covid-19 and our ecologist being indisposed we have not planned any trips.|
|What is the Expeience Length and Cost?||All Experiences are planned around 2 hours on the boat with Simon our ecologist providing recognition and information on the wildlife and fauna we see and hear. They are all costed at £25 (inc a hot drink and biscuit) per head.|
|How do I find out what is available?||To get prior notice of dates please email firstname.lastname@example.org request to be added to the mailing list - one or two emails per year and your details are not passed anywhere else.|
|How do I book?||Booking is essential, you can book or enquire about any of the trips by email email@example.com please provide the following details, the type of trip and date if known, your name and contact number and how many spaces you are booking for, we will respond within 2 days with information, confirmation or alternatives.|
|Can I book online?||These trips cannot be booked through our online booking system which is set up for trips|
|Can I get or use Gift cards?||To use or give a gift card for a wildlife trip please use the same email address as above.|
|What happens in bad weather?||All trips are subject to cancellation, possibly at short notice, if the weather is likely to mean a lack of wildlife. We will make every effort to re-arrange the experience but cannot guarantee to provide a suitable alternative for everybody.|
|How do I pay?||We require payment in advance by bank transfer or card - note if a trip is cancelled full refunds are provided if a suitable alternative is not found.|
As the sun sets and dusk descends we will quietly cruise upstream to see and hear bats, often up to 6 different species, Our ecologist will provide information about bats and help with bat identification as we go, bat detectors are provided.

As the light seeps into the sky and the sun rises we will hear (and see some) birds calling as the dawn chorus starts, rises, and falls, typically we hear around 25 different species of bird, our ecologist will talk about the birds and identify the calls and anything else we see or hear.

A leisurely cruise down the river, experiencing 2 locks and back, our ecologist will talk about the birds and identify anything we see or hear, possibilities of turtle doves, kingfishers, yellow hammers and barn owls but nothing in the wild is guaranteed.
