If you want to see wildlife, you can spot some on our daytime cruises. However, for a better chance, we recommend booking a wildlife experience.

Choose from three options:

the early morning Dawn Chorus Experience

the evening Down River Experience

the late evening Bat Experience

Each lasts about two hours and is led by an ecologist. This is “wild” life, so nothing is guaranteed. Still, it’s a wonderful trip in the Kent countryside, complete with a sunrise or sunset.

We run wildlife experiences with an ecologist on board who is well versed in the local flora and fauna:-

• 3 types of experience, Dawn Chorus, Down River, and Bat watching
• all experiences are about 2 hours

Wildlife Experiences Info

We can take you from the Big Bridge mooring to Haysden Country Park if you arrange it ahead of time. Also, we can pick you up from Haysden Park and bring you back to the Big Bridge mooring, but this also needs to be arranged in advance.

The choice is yours, a one way trip or a round trip from either the Big Bridge or Haysden Park, with or without a stop over.

Our trips leave on the hour from the Big Bridge. They can stop at Haysden at 25 or 35 minutes past the hour if you ask.

To request a stop at Haysden, please email the address below at least one day ahead. You can also call the skipper using the number on the home page.

We’re very sorry for your loss. We will do our best to provide a respectful journey and a fitting spot for scattering the ashes on the River Medway near Tonbridge.

You can usually scatter ashes during our regular hours. Just let us know what you would like to do.

Our electric boat can carry up to 12 passengers at once. We go to a quiet, scenic part of the river, perfect for scattering ashes.

You are more than welcome to bring along drinks and nibbles for the journey (Note there is no loo on board) and it is fine if you want to play some music from a mobile phone or scatter flowers or petals along with the ashes.
